i just dont get it! for instance: i want to find bert bergers treatise on how to do dcell rails. everyone says "search the archives"... but there is NO SEARCH FUNCTION SPECIFIC TO THE ARCHIVES!
In the example, i go to the archives and click on "sort by poster", and after 20 minutes of scrolling i still cant get through the "anonymous" section to the "b's (for berger).
surely when guys say 'search the archives' they dont mean DAYS of scrolling though lists and lists of topics trying to find what they are looking for?
we all know that it doesnt work when someone posts a link in a current discussion to an old discussion... you click on it and you get a message saying it no longer exists.
am i missing something here?
