Wide Point Back, Quad fin?

Ok, let me be the first to say, I am an amature at best. What do you think of a board for solid days of up to double overhead, 6'9 x 20 x 2.5, wide point back 2", moderatley flat nose rocker, flipped tail, with a quad fin set up ? I like the idea of having a longer board to get into the wave earlier, and then having it act shorter when turning. The only thing that makes me second guess, is seeing that most step ups seem to have widepoint at the center, or slightly forward. Would the quad set up compensate for the wider hips? Am I out of my mind? I would love to have some degree of reassurance from someone more experienced before committing. Has anyone tried something similar. OR, please tell me I'm very wrong on this concept lol.
