I'm really not a fan of this fin system but my son gets a team/employee deal with a board maker now that doesn't make it worth me building his boards.......and kids being kids he wants to ride what the cool kids are riding. Never the less. First board to come home with this system and its second session it comes home with a damaged box. Board is very lightly glassed with 4oz S glass. Thoughts on grinding out the fractured glass and capping this and the rest of the boxes for safety sake. The rest of the box is strong. I see no evidence on this board that football patches were used. I really think this board is just a single layer of S over the boxes. Will adding a layer of 4oz after the fact interfear with the mechanism holding the fins in place due to the added 1/16th of an inch of glass?
