Mixing 2 types of resin

Does anyone know what would happen if I added a little bit of Gloss Coat/Finishing Resin/250B to laminating resin/249B?

Would that be the same or nearly the same as adding the wax to laminating resin to make a hot coat/sanding resin?

Has anyone tried this with success and if so what mixture was used?  

I'm asking because I've had the wax additive gel up and has been putting a lot of lumps in hot coats even after straining it. I was also able to get a REALLY good deal on some Gloss/250B.
