It was a whim to look in the scraps in the man arts department. Found this bit of scrap and started a process. I could only get access to the ban saw and the table sander for around an hour. They were shutting all the machines down for the end of the year. So then started the foil by hand with the surform and Some sand paper. I gave two of the fin "blanks" to some of the groms from the surf program so they could have a set as well.
The next day I brought the sander polisher to work so I was able to do the bulk of the foiling with it and then try to even the out with the paper on the tool with the blue handle.
I tried for a variation of a blending curves template, adding more tip and a bit of double cut away action.
Aiming for a fair bit of base area and a firm flex through the tip.
