Puerto Rico Surf Trip in January

Hey SwayBros,
Heading to the Rincon area in Puerto Rico in the beginning of January for a quick surf trip.

I take many flight to get there, so bringing a board with me will come out to about $450. I was thinking it would be cooler to pick up a local board, and maybe leave it there when i am done.

Any recommendations on picking up a 6' shortboard for a 185 pound guy while I am there?

I am also looking for a longboard for a friend of similar size.

I have checked craigslist and some other classified ads and didn't see much boardwise.

Also any advice on local breaks is greatly appreciated and what breaks it compares to on Oahu.
